There are 6 main vocabulary words that we will stress throughout the workshop.
The next vocabulary word is
bookmark
After you have surfed the Internet for awhile you begin to realize
that there are dozens of Web pages that interest you and that you may like to visit at
another time.
To visit the Web pages later, you have two choices:
- A/ Carefully copy down the URL address on a slip of paper.
-
- The problem with this method is that you will soon have a giant list of URL's
and, if you mispell any part of the URL, you will never successfully find the Web page
again.
-
- B/ Make a bookmark for the Web page in your browser.
-
- Most browsers use either bookmarks, favorites, or hotlists to help the Internet
surfer to keep track of their favorite Web sites. After you have made a bookmark, you can
visit it by choosing it with your mouse.
Try to turn this Web page into a bookmark using your browser.
