Tutorial Project

Research & locate an online tutorial for creating an iPhone app. Create one of the following:

- a guide typed as a Word /Pages / GoogleDoc document,
- a PowerPoint / KeyNote / Google Presentation slideshow,
- an mp4 standalone or YouTube video,
- or another teacher-approved multimedia file

that illustrates how to follow the tutorial.

Also, create an app based on the tutorial. Make sure that the URL web page address of the online tutorial is prominently indicated in your guide.

The steps that you explain and/or illustrate must be detailed, complete, and easy enough for a beginner to follow. Aim your tutorial for someone who just completed 10th grade Honors/AP Java. Be sure to include details such as what version of Xcode you are using, what level of iOS your app is built for, etc. The presentation should make appropriate use of text, color, graphics, diagrams, illustrations, audio, hyperlinks to relevant websites, explanations of difficult vocabulary, etc.

The tutorial does not have to explain how to install the development tools but you should outline how or where those items can be downloaded before creating the project.

Part of your grade for this project will be based on the instructor's assessment of your classroom productivity that includes your ability to independently learn and apply information from online class resources without help from others and without disturbing the work of others in class.

You must store all associated files or subfolders in a folder named TutorialProjectJohnDoe. This folder must contain the Xcode project folder as well as the supporting multimedia files (Word document, video, etc.) Compress this folder and upload it to http://dropitto.me/cminich

You must also honestly and completely fill out and submit a paper copy of this rubric that will be used by the instructor to grade the project.
