Exercise 11-1 (p. 211)
Save the file as FILEWRIT.CPP. Use NotePad to open the file NAME_AGE.DAT that was created in your network folder.
Exercise11-2 (p. 212)
Save the file as LOOPWRIT.CPP. Use NotePad to open the file FLOATS.DAT.
Exercise 11-3 (p. 213)
Open the file NUMREAD.CPP from the template directory. Note that you must still have the file FLOATS.DAT that was created in Exercise 11-2 in your network folder in order for this file to work.
Exercise 11-4 (p. 214)
Open the file STRREAD.CPP from the template directory. Note that you must still have the file NAME_AGE.DAT that was created in Exercise 11-1 in your network folder in order for this file to work.
Answer the Section 11.2 Questions #1-5 on p. 215 at this time, if you haven't already done so.
Exercise 11-5 (p. 216)
Open the file FILEWRIT.CPP that you saved in Exercise 11-1. Save this exercises as FILEAPP.CPP when you are finished making the necessary modifications.
Exercise 11-6 (p. 218)
Open the file READEOF.CPP from the template directory. You will also need to copy the data file PRICES.DAT from the template directory and place it into your network folder in order to execute READEOF.CPP.
Exercise 11-7 (p. 221)
Open the file CONVERT.CPP from the template directory. Use any text editor or word processor that allows you to save to the ASCII text format in order to create the required text file.
Exercise 11-8 (p. 222)
Continue using CONVERT.CPP that you left open from Exercise 11-7. Keep the file saved as CONVERT.CPP when you finish.
Answer Section 11.3 Questions #1-5 on p. 222 if you haven't done so already.
