Projects & Assignments ALL PROJECTS ARE TENTATIVE UNTIL OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED BY INSTRUCTOR E-Commerce Threats and Dangers Report Fully explain one of the following threats to web sites and ecommerce applications: spoofing, hijacking a DNS entry, denial-of-service attack, wardriving, phishing or another pre-approved topic. Thoroughly explain how the threat can damage a web site and any other negative consequences for the business that is attacked. Also, explain measures that a business and its customers can take to avoid the threat. Your report must be at least two pages (double-spaced with default MS Word margins). Submit a stapled printed version and mail another copy as an email attachment to cminich(at)racc.edu. Name the file "John Doe ecommerce threat project" and make the sure the subject line of the email is "John Doe ecommerce threat project". On an additional page, provide a list of all specific website references or books used in this paper. Give the specific web page address and not just a domain name. This paper must be your own work. Any direct quotes or slightly edited summaries of another source must be properly cited or footnoted. You must also give a 5 minute presentation on your project in a future class. You may use PowerPoint, URL references and/or printed handouts. Search Engine Optimization Analysis Suppose that a local business that sells tennis racquets has hired you as an SEO consultant. For $500, you must type a report that recommends specifics things that the business can do to promote its products in one or more search engines. Your report must be at least 2 pages (double-spaced with default MS Word margins). It must give specific detailed recommendations of what the business owner or a web designer/programmer could do to market the company's tennis racquets through one or more search engines. Be sure to describe the benefits and costs (especially monetary ones) to your recommendations. Also, explain if and how the results of these recommendations could be measured six months after implementing them. On an additional page, provide a list of all specific website references or books used in this paper. Give the specific web page address and not just a domain name. This paper must be your own work. See the instructor if you aren't sure what that means. Do not stop at 2 pages if you feel that you have more to include in your recommendation.
